Lost motivation...

Sorry I haven't posted for so long. I lost motivation over the weekend, and didn't track anything I ate! During the middle of the week I stepped on the scale and had lost 5 lbs(probably from being sick for so long) but by the time I weighed in on Sunday, I'd gained 4 of it back. The weekends are hard for me because I'm with Trevor most of the weekend, and I seem to lose the ability to use portion control when I'm with him. We went to Golden Corral on Saturday....that place is horrible for a dieter! I was proud of myself for getting a big salad and only 1 roll, which if you know me, took a lot of self control! But then I tried 15 different desserts(small exaggeration...very small...) and ruined it all! I probably would have been better off to have a regular meal so my tummy was full and then have just 1 dessert. Oh well. Monday I decided to try again, and did pretty good, aside from the mcdonalds for dinner. I tracked what I ate, and did an hour of Zumba with some friends from church. Today was even better. I did good tracking, and went to the gym with my sister. We walked/jogged for almost an hour, and did our 100 crunches. I even ran at 7 mph for a short time, which is pretty big for me. I can tell that I'm getting stronger, and that's kind of exciting. My goal for this week is to continue to track what I eat, and drink at least 8 cups of water/day. So what is your goal for the week? I'm sick!!

Well, I'm home sick with the flu bug again. Nausea and the runs...oh the joy. Although I may lose a couple pounds from this sickness! Now if only I can keep them off! I haven't felt up to exercising yesterday or today, but hopefully tomorrow I will feel good enough to do my 30 day shred or go to the gym. I'm hoping to take the kids for a walk tonight, and then I'll at least get some activity in for the day. As for tracking my food, I've been really good about tracking, and yesterday I didn't eat enough calories! I don't think I've ever had that problem! (true, I was nauseous all day from the flu bug, but still, it was kind of exciting!!) Today I think I may go over my calories because all I've been eating is toast, crackers, and mashed potatoes! I'm in carb heaven!! Oh well. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow and can get back into this.

Today was a pretty good day! I tracked everything I ate, even down to that little jelly bean that I couldn't resist eating! I stayed within my allotted calories, which is pretty hard for me to do! I even exercised! For Easter I got Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, which I've heard really good things about. It was only a 20 minute workout, but I can tell I'm going to be sore!! It's a combination of 3 minutes cardio, 2 minutes strength training, and 1 minute abs, then repeated a gazillion times...at least that's what it felt like! But I'm proud of myself for pushing myself to do it. Hopefully tomorrow will be just at good, although that Easter candy is calling to me, and I'm not sure how long I can resist!!!

My First Post!!

Well, I've been talking a lot about losing weight and being healthier, and I hope that doing this blog will help keep me motivated! I used to do Weight Watchers, and part of the reason that worked so well for me was because I had to step on that scale and explain to my coach why I gained 7 lbs in the last week!! I think that not having to account to anybody about my weight is part of the reason I've gained back 20 of the 30 lbs I lost last year. So, I'll try to blog pretty often, plus I'm going to have a weekly weigh in when I say how much I've lost so far, even if I've gained. I'm not comfortable putting my weight up here yet, so we'll just track it by pounds lost. :) I'll also try to set a goal each Sunday of what I want to accomplish that week. If any of you want to join with me on that weeks goal, just comment and let me know. Or comment about what your goal will be for the week.

My goal for this week is to track EVERYTHING I EAT!! I use myfitnesspal.com to track it, but often times I 'accidentally' forget to track that candy bar I just shoveled in!! So what is your goal?
